The Role

In this key role, you will be responsible for the cross-site development and implementation of an integrated management system for health, safety, environment, and sustainability. With a clear focus on EHS, you actively shape structures, build them further, and practically implement them in the operational environment. You feel comfortable in a dynamic setup, drive change, and act as a visible and persuasive personality in interactions with employees, management, and international locations.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Develop and implement an integrated management system for Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) and Sustainability
• Promote a proactive safety culture and conduct risk assessments and training
• Ensure compliance with legal regulations and internal standards (including environmental, safety, and compliance matters)
• Analyze and investigate accidents and near-misses, derive and implement sustainable preventive measures
• Plan and conduct internal audits while accompanying external audits and authority inspections
• Manage cross-site EHS reporting and data preparation for the global Sustainability organization
• Analyze and continuously optimize processes, identify potential for improvement, implement measures, and maintain relevant documentation in the DMS as well as participate in efficiency and savings initiatives.

What You Bring

• Recognized safety certification (e.g. SUVA specialist or expert ASGS)
• Several years of professional experience in EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) and Operational Excellence (OpEx) in an industrial environment
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Safety)
• Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment as well as Six Sigma and/or Lean Management
• Ability to generate reports and develop relevant guidelines at the local level
• Fluency in German and English, Spanish knowledge is a plus
• Willingness to travel for occasional deployments in Mexico (approx. 3 to 4 times per year)
