The Role

In this key role, you will take responsibility for the cross-location further development and implementation of an integrated management system for health, safety, environment, and sustainability. With a clear focus on EHS, you will actively shape structures, continue to build on them, and bring them to operational execution in a hands-on manner. You will feel comfortable in a dynamic environment in the making, drive forward changes and act as a visible, convincing personality in exchange with employees, management, and international locations.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Further develop and implement an integrated management system for Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) and Sustainability
• Promote a proactive safety culture and conduct risk assessments and training
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and internal standards (including environmental, safety, and compliance issues)
• Analyze and investigate accidents and near-misses and derive and implement sustainable preventive measures
• Plan and execute internal audits and accompany external audits and authority inspections
• Manage cross-site EHS reporting and data preparation for the global sustainability organization
• Analyze and continuously optimize processes, identify improvement potentials, implement measures, and maintain relevant documentation in the DMS while participating in efficiency and savings initiatives.

What You Bring

• Recognized safety certificate (e.g., SUVA specialist ASGS)
• Several years of professional experience in EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) and Operational Excellence (OpEx) in an industrial environment
• Thorough knowledge of ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment), and ISO 45001 (safety at work)
• Good knowledge in data analysis, risk assessment, and in Six Sigma and/or Lean Management
• Ability to create reports and develop relevant guidelines at the local level
• Fluent in German and English, Spanish knowledge an advantage
• Willingness to travel for occasional assignments in Mexico (approx. 3 to 4 times a year)
